When wiring ditch lights and light bar to an auxbeam controller, do you need to keep the relay and in line fuse that came with the light wiring on, or does the auxbeam contoller take care of that so I can just run a direct wire from lights to the controller?

it depends on the load of the lights you're using. i know of a light bar that takes 40A, which the aux beam won't support.

the auxbeam module has a variety of different-sized fused outputs from 5A to 30A for different types of gear. as long as your lights fall under the fuse limits of a given output, you can connect it directly.

A 480 watt light bar? The winch on my popup camper is fused at 40 amps, and uses 35 peak surge when it's lifting the roof.

I almost need to see this. Is someone wanting to land airplanes with their truck?

i'll have to do some digging for it. it was for a work truck, i had originally told the guy installing it he was way over-speccing the wire, trying to run stuff larger than 12 gauge for a simple light bar, then he showed me the specs, and we verified the draw with an amp clamp just to be sure...

i thought it was this one, but it only claims 14A

it was an interesting install, with it turned on, you could feel the heat from the light with your back to the truck...

You should be able to with no issues unless your lightbar is pulling a ton of amperage.

I have my ditch lights, roof rack light bar and grill light bar wired to a controller and I can run them all at the same time with no issues. I even have my air compressor tied to it, and it works great.

Just double check the power usage on each device and make sure they are wired to the correct circuit on the auxbeam controller. Usually circuit 1 has the highest amperage rating, so you'd put your biggest lightbar there, more than likely.
