AUX won't work

10 DCSB 4wd OR Speedway Blue

I just bought my 2010 dcsb with JBL stereo, I have an auxiliary port next to my cigaret lighter. When I connect a cord and push the cd/aux button on my head unit nothing happens. Is this likely a loose connection between the port and te head unit? Or could it be something different?

Try to turn up the volume on the device attached to the aux port.
