Then I want to route the wire for the switch button controller under the plastic piece that extends from the windshield to other side to enter the cabin through the grommet. I saw 2 clips on the ends but I don't know what else is holding it. I need it loose enough to allow me enough room to pass the wire underneath so it is hidden. Anyone done anything like this? Do you know how to remove / lossen that plastic piece.

I AM STAYING AWAY FROM THE OTHER 3 POSTS FOR HYBRID THAT I WAS WARNED ABOUT.

Anyone knows how to route the wire under that plastic piece. I removed the 2 pins on each end but I don't know what else is still holding it.

It turns out you have to undo the 12mm nut on that post and unclip it then it will slip out and it looks like photo. There is no room to add a positive cable without cutting into it. So if you don't want to cut into that plastic that goes to the post, you have to wire a long cable to the positive side locatedunder rear seat on driver side, 1. route under the seat to passenger side and exit from under the truck or 2. route to the front and exit the grommet at the firewall. You have to determine what is cleaner and safer. I have not made up my mind yet. I may scratch the whole idea for the auxbeam and just wire to battery with relay and use an oem swith from caliraised. It is the only one aux right now and an oem switch may be cleaner look but if I had several switches to connect, then the auxbeam switch controller would be the better route.20241023_141324.jpg 20241023_141355.jpg

I opted to use an empty but hot spade in the driver's side engine box. Factory gound point is just on the other side of the brake master on the side wall.
