One of the best movies I've ever seen.

WTF is this about the story line being no good.... it was fantastic.

CG was incredible, truly. 3D on top of that, what an experience.

I thought the movie didn't live up to the hype. The movie was one I wasn't upset about spending the money to watch, but I wouldn't watch it again ( til it comes out on DVD).

The movie was basically Dances With Wolves in a fantasy setting. With that said, I really liked it and would see it again.

Here's a quick capsule review I posted on another forum I frequent:

Saw it last night. 3D, but not Imax. I'm just going to rapid fire the thoughts in no particular order.

    Over rated.

Summary: Native American history lesson but without the diseased blankets.

James Cameron is a furry. With his pseudo-gratuitous alien blue cat titty shots and the fact that one of the main subplots is people becoming anthropomorphized blue cats to fuck other anthropomorphized blue cats, it's hard to deny.

I get it Hollywood. You hate corporations and you love Jews and the environment. But fuck, could you at least try to hide it like you used to?

Sigourney Weaver's smile is oddly disconcerting.

Could they just stop beating around the bush with that mind-link thing sticking out of the alien pony tails? Just have your cat people do what you're implying James and stick their dick in the horse's ass.

Chanting shaman spiritual shit is hokey, even if it glows in the dark.

The sound editing was excellent. The effects were about the same in quality as any other AAA budget eye candy film in recent years (I'm looking at you, transformers series), what set it apart was the aesthetic. Apparently, open vistas and lots of lite-brite plants mean good effects now. I guess maybe I'm more immune to this because I've seen some wild shit in real life while mountaineering/backpacking.

Will an alien race ever not have a head, four limbs, eyes, mouth, etc? I'm going to laugh my ass off when we have real first contact with a species of space barnacles that communicate entirely by pheromones.

    That's about it I guess.

Great movie. Most visually stunning movie I've ever seen. I need to see in it 3-D though. Top five movies of all time for me.

I'm not a big movie type of guy, hell I dont even watch TV that much. If your into politics, its going to scream LIBERAL AGENDA. Saw it in 3d tonight with the kids, it was good.
Basically the $ hungry white folks travelled 4 plus yrs to this planet to exploit it for its "ore". I am curious whats up up with blue?, I mean we had the smurfs at what 3' tall, now we have 10-12' tall blue aliens that love the forest. One thing is for sure the blue people love trees....maybe the Smurfs grew up?

I've had Avatar on my laptop for a couple weeks now. I enjoyed it, even though it was a futuristic Pocahontas.
