    Sorry I didn't take any pics as I was installing but it is pretty easy to see where to put the mounts once you take the grille off and take a look behind the bumper. It will be the allumimnum brace bars for the bumper. Just make sure you don't over tighten. It is easy to do to allumimnum!

    I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
    Mass is the same way about the plates. I have actually measured it before and have exactly 12" on either side to work with. I was thinking a nice 10" bar on both sides of the plate would be perfect. At least it would be for my '09.

    I don't have a front plate, haven't for years and have never been pulled over for it, nor has it been brought up when I have been pulled over. Also, for those in Cali getting these lights on the front of their truck, there is apparently some rule about exposed lighting on the front of vehicles, I think its no more than 4 exposed lights on the front, so headlights and fog lights are your cap, anything else needs to be covered.

    Do i cover mine? NOPE. Have i ever been cited or questioned about it? NOPE. Do i think about the license plate and lights every time a cop drives by? YEP.

    So just be aware, this kind of stuff is an easy fix it ticket. I've heard many stories of people that just show the cop the covers in the backseat or license plate that 'fell off' and they get off with nothing.
