I have a bright 'hot spot' with mine also and I have it pointing about dead level straight ahead. The outside flood LEDs are definitely spreading a lot of light. The Optic series lens is supposed to focus the light a little better with the spots, less scatter. I'm not sure about distance but it seems like more usable light (plus it's blacked out so it'll be more subtle behind the grille.

Interesting. The only thing I know is when you use a wiring harness, avec or not, the "ignition on" pin on the switch is jumped from pin 30 on relay. In that case, your switch will always be hot. I don't think the led light in the switch is enough to drain the battery. Hopefully someone can chime in!

Did you disturb or move any other OEM or aftermarket wiring when you added the AVEC harness? Or did you just connect the pos and neg.

Could be a short. A short in the system can make your battery feel warm to the touch even when the truck is off.

My truck did the same. Ever since redoing my wiring and everything, it stopped. Funky!

Hopefully it's just a temporary "ghost in the machine".

    Bizarre.

Did you use a relay or just hard wire it from switch to battery? I had a bunch of stuff hard wired to my battery for a while through switches and ended up having to replace the battery. For some reason there's still a little parasitic drain when you hard wire it, or even wire through ignition. Once I threw some relays on and had everything wired correctly, my battery was fine.

since no one else is chiming in..... MikeVee appears to be temporarily away, call 1-888-734-7781 and tell them you are from here, I assume they will honor the TW prices..... Not that the TW prices are really posted for all items. Maybe ask them what they can do for you in regards to pricing. Let us know how it goes please.

I called them a couple weeks ago as I posted... talked to Joe. He's more than happy to take orders, don't think he'll have a problem with the "TW" pricing, as he is swapping out my 37" single row for a 20"Optics on warrenty and used the discount to match up the prices.

I doubt anyone will log in here though, as that's one more thing they have to check, and if they're short handed with mike out, I doubt they have time. just call them, they seem to be a little slow with follow up but eventually set things right

Don't bother trying to e-mail Avec, something is up with their system. Says their mailbox quota has been exceeded so they can't get new e-mails.

Thanks, I'll try Joe's e-mail. Calling is tough with the time change, I'm usually working while they are open.

Ok so for those of you who are curious since mike is mia. I emailed joe. He said to either text him or email avecproducts@gmail.com to place your order. I asked if we had to do anything special and didn't hear anything back so I would copy the original post by mike to show the pricing as to avoid any problems

Definitely miss dealing with Mike. I e-mailed Joe asking for a quote for a light bar and asking about a specific set of options (I want a 30" optic, all spot LEDs), he got back to me a couple days later asking for my contact number. I responded and haven't heard anything since.
