I dont know the story behind what happened with Mike, but i have purchased quite a few lights from AVEC with no issues at all. Fast shipping, good customer service, they always ship the same day i order and they even call to finalize the order and give me my total.

I have a customer who hit a deer with his suburban and we mounted an AVEC 20" optic series dual row in the bumper i built for him. The deer ended up knocking one of the inner lens covers loose inside the light and breaking it. All of the LED's still function fine, but it needs some new inner lenses. I contacted Clayton and he said to ship it back and they will fix it or replace it for no charge. So its unfortunate that others have had bad experiences with AVEC, but so far mine have all been great! Just trying to level out all the negative comments here!

They need to do what @RAD did when Rechelon Aesthetics was doing poorly on TW. He came on here, owned up, and is kicking ass at getting the company back on track.

Apparently a similar thing happened to snugtop on here. They made an account to create a show us your snugtop thread. They were active for a while and once a couple negative reviews came in they vanished. They still lurk but never post.

I love my snugtop but still think they should own up as a company and help those who got bad products.

Yeah I don't have any first hand experience with the problems since mine is perfect and I was not the first owner so any problems I find I sort of blame on the last owner who used it as a work truck...

This thread is long dead, AVEC no longer is represented here, better to look around for another vendor.

Avec has long been gone. I wouldn't recommend going this route since Mike V left. Might want to read the last few pages.

Go cheap and Chinese (and make sure seal them better), or save up for Rigid.

X2, I bought from Ben and he was great to deal with, I have no doubts that Memario would be just as helpful.

Same here, his pricing was right in line with Amazon and the like though. I'm sure I could have found them cheaper somewhere else but I asked a ton of questions trying to find out which lights would be best and Ben was very helpful. That alone was worth the sale in my opinion. Sadly, they're still in the box waiting to go on the truck... It's only been about 6 months :anonymous:

So many lights out there you could lose your mind trying to figure which ones to get . I need two about eight or nine inches long and a double row with wire harnest. What do you recommend ?

I just bought s mount for them from Alternative Off-road. They're going to be mounted at the back of the hood, at the cowl. They're Rigid Dually hyperspots so they'll be aimed out for distance. Can't wait to see what they're capable of.
