This may be a silly question but: what is the harness for? Does it just save time over making one up with your own wires? Is it necessary for the install?

I have made my own wire looms for my jeep lighting, and it really wasn't that bad.

I just orderd a light bar (by mistake, stupid ebay and "smart phone" app, don't ask).

I will get it and see how it does, might just return it.

    I need a single row 20".

Has anyone tried to put the amber tint film over one of these to use as fogs? I think that is what I need. My drive to work in the morning crosses over a big lake and the fog is really bad most of the year.

Hey man, well if you return it we're here hahaha.

Yeah the harnesses have a fuse and switch and what not. I'm not too bright on wiring though. We have a 19" or 25".

I see what you did there :rimshot:

I have been doing some research on led bars, and i'm trying to find one for my plate bumper and possibly a small set for reverse lights.

i pulled one up on ebay on my iPhone app, and somehow placed a bid. I thought, "ok, I won't win this", well, I did.

I would rather buy one from someone on TW than off Ebay!

    20" single row bar.

No idea what brand. I believe it has mounting hardware but no harness.

It was a total mistake, but once you "win" on ebay, that's it.
So I paid, and we'll see what I get.

Tried to post a link but I couldn't get it to work on the iamdumbPhone.

    BUMP!

Rigid e-series covers work with the Avec dual row bars!! :yay:

Test fit the covers yesterday and they fit beautifully. I have a full set of amber covers and a black set as well. Going to be trimming out the lower grill and moving the license plate lower this weekend, hopefully.

So.... what is the best way to install a 30" bar in the lower grill area? Any tips? Should I cut the lower grill area out first or just mount it in the slot provided? What are the do's and donts?

What I did is centered it on the aluminum (or whatever shit material it is now-a-days) and used one self tapping screw on each side. I was skeptical at first but it is solid. I still have to cut out the center a bit in order to swap the Rigid covers easily. I can take pics later to give you an idea. All I have to do was remove the grill. Did not remove the bumper.

Let me know if you have any other questions.
