Hi, don't know if this is a repost but I can't find the post I made earlier. Went from a 2017 to a 2020 Tacoma, I could easily reset the average fuel economy in the 2017 but can't figure it out in the 2020. Is there a way to reset it anytime?
    Thanks

I just reset mine today, somewhat inadvertently when I was setting up the display screens. I believe you just scroll to the proper screen with the arrows, then hold down the center button, at which time you will get further prompts that allow you to reset the average value.

I believe you click on "Home" and then click on the area where it shows your fuel economy over the past 10 minutes. It should take you to your main fuel economy section where you can hit reset

The average Tank MPG resets every time you fill up. That's on the 2019.

I think the OP was not referring to the one in the instrument cluster but the one in the radio.

I was referring to the one in the instrument cluster. In the 2017 you press the button between the arrows to reset it, I don't see that feature in the 2020.

This is what comes up on my 2020. If you're not getting these, perhaps try the negative battery terminal removal as a reset? I had to do that to get the tire pressures and pitch to show up.

Where do you find the page on the right...do you scroll down from the page on the left? My truck does not display it.

The 3 drive information screens are programmable. Scroll right to the settings screen (has the wheel symbol) and through the settings/customization items option - you'll find 3 drive information screens that can be set to various combinations of speed time, speed, distance, and fuel economy.

My 2018 does not say “hold for reset” under the “tank average fuel economy” as seen above. Maybe this was added for 2020? Mine seems to reset after refilling a tank. However I use the trip A on the odo to calculate what I’m getting per tank and it’s always 20-50 miles more than what the cpu calculated.

*EDIT* I just figured out my problem. You can reset average “fuel economy” not “tank average fuel economy” I had the wrong one displayed.

Thanks for inspiring me to look into this!

I guess I will unplug the battery terminal because I also don't get the tire pressure. I know I have to bring the truck to the dealer for an update because the Toyota app on the phone does not start or lock the truck. Once I unplug the negative terminal, do I lose all my setting ( phone, radio presets etc.) ?

I figured this out today. No need to disconnect the battery. It's all selectable in drive 1-3. The center display is much more configurable and useful than I thought.

I average 19 on my 2019 Sport which coming from my F-250 that got 11 is great.
