Yikes. Overhauls are no cheap expense. Overhaul it, sell it, and get you a b55 Baron!

Haha... fortunately it's only an SR20 with the continental IO360 in it so it isn't horrific like our SR22T <---that overhaul is gonna be maddening... We've got our eye on a 58P Baron... after flying the Kingair and the P210 around, the owners of the company tend to go towards pressurization now-a-days... :)

They consider the SR20 a "toy" airplane... lol... ahhhh to have disposable income....

Yeah the 22T overhaul is going to suuuuuck. I'd have no problem getting a C90 to zip around in! Still though, P210 makes me

Ours is better as it's an E90 :p

P210 is fun to fly from the standpoint of capability... otherwise it's just a bigger 182RG.... that happens to be pressurized :p

Ooooh well look at you fancy pants! The 210 looks sooo much better than the 182rg. Hauls more stuff too. I'm still waiting for you to give me a ride in that thing :)

Either a cracked muffler, or bad door seals. I'm waiting on the mechanic to pressure test the exhaust

thxs Ryan....didn't even know this thread existed...but here you all go

Took a day trip up to Star Wars Canyon on 10-25-2016 and was lucky enough to pick a day that may possibly never happen again. Man-rated QF-4's from Holloman AFB! Reason why this may never happen again is because the QF-4's are being decommissioned in December in favor of the QF-16's. I got a few shots of F/A-18 D,E and F models also. The E was from VFA-97 out of Lemoore and the D and F model were from VX-9 out of China Lake. I was actually in VX-9 back in the mid 80's though it was VX-5 at the time. Pretty epic day if I say so myself.

If you are interested here is a link to about 200 pics from yesterday. No editing just a pic dump so some pics look like hell.

...^^^... F-4's are my favorite all around aircraft ... because it is such a sexy and fast airplane (IMO, way ahead of it's time with 50+ years of service) ... and the F-4's provided excellent CAS to the rotary CAS guys in trouble in RVN.

My first assignment was at Bergstrom AFB in Austin: 67th Tactical Reconnaissance Wing and its RF-4C Photo Phantoms. High speed, all cameras, no bullets. They were a maintenance nightmare until Desert Storm, where they went from a 70% mission effectiveness rating to 100%. Seems the answer was simple: F-4s are awesome when they fly every day, all the time. They break when you leave them parked.

    A flown F-4 is a happy F-4.

So...if you have one...phly your phantoms every damn day phellas!

Have to admit the F-4 is my favorite aircraft. Mainly due to the fact that it was the first aircraft I ever started up and ran. F4's were the aircraft we trained on when I was in school to become a jet engine mech back in my Navy days in the mid 80's. So some sentimental value there for me. Actually have a pic of me in the cockpit of the F4 in Millington TN on the day we were doing engine starts.
