Have done that a bunch. Mostly for off line, charter ops, when we visit odd ball airports not normally served by us or other type operators.

I don't do a lot of pushing tho it happens & I use both. The TLD is easy man. Pretty much line up on the nose using a site or laser pointer built into the tug and go. Once the front get in close it takes of and the driver just verifies the aircraft type. Lift it and drive after that. It's a no brainer & nobody has to dick with the tow bar...just put in the bypass and plug in the driver headset.

Lately I have been airlining to drop off planes or pick them up quite a bit. It's interesting to see just how convenient private flying is compared with flying in the airlines, even as a pilot.

Dropped this guy off last night.

Got the Cardinal up today and was getting 130kts true at 7500' with 71% engine power and 7.5GPH 100F rich of peak. Not bad for the 'ol fixed gear Cessna

A co-worker flew over my house today and I had enough heads up to take a photo.

Kind of both. I live near the Livermore airport now. He was relativley low (2000 feet?) and I had a long lens.

    It's the wife's T4R so it's stock
It's his voice on ATC so presumably it was him. He's a very active pilot with Wright Flight and EAA and the plane in this incident was indeed his Husky. I'm sure they'll review and give him some sort of suspension and/or fine.

Some airports have taxiways that look very similar to the runway, but in this case the taxiway he landed is directly attached to the ramp without any sod between the taxiway and the ramp... visually that shouldn't look correct from the air as something to land on.
