Aviation BS and Photo Thread

Only going around here damn student solos in a helicopter. They are moving like pond water.

 

I haven't posted anything here recently. Been busy getting hitched, honeymoon in Iceland and what not, and nothing too cool in the aviation side of life recently, but I have been doing the normal creepin...

That being said, had an interesting plane roll into town last week for a demo.


I have other photos, however you'll have to stop by the office to see them. Sorry. It was pretty cool! Several of my coworkers got to fly on it and shoot a few approaches, I didn't get the opportunity though (busy workin ).

 

Great summer morning to be out sampling one of the many northwestern Ontario lakes.

That is awesome. I was lucky enough to get to fly a brand new Husky on tundras for a little while. This made me think of the good ol' days. I miss that.

Did the front of the cockpit have an arrow pointing to the window saying "this plane is flown with new era technology" or something like that?

 

Thanks! I'm stuck in the training center down here in Miami until late July, so I won't be doing much of any kind of flying (except the fake kind in the big box), but I'll be sure to post come that I get on the road after.

it really is. came back into DCA after my Palau trip, Its interesting feeling an airliner pull a decently hard turn.

 

Doesn't look that grainy to me but it's small.

Noise (grain) in pictures taken in low light is happens because the noise is stronger than the weak signal from the light. If you expose more, even if you must use a higher iso, you get less noise.

Darken the picture in post processing to look the way you want (since it will now look too light).

If I haven't explained this clearly ask and I'll try again.

 

That makes sense, but I don't have many options to play with on my phone. Haha, I snapped it real quick before I started pumping it full of Jet-A

 

Oh, it's excellent for a phone photo.

 

I know this is a real old post, but is this N8036 (MTSU's Beaver)? I have some time in that plane. It's a real blast to fly!

Couple more floaties. A nice little PA-11 and a Beaver. iPhone shots, but it's hard to go wrong with water, Beav, and setting sun.

Sure is. I'm an MTSU Aero Maintenance Alumni and we flew it to Sun n Fun back in 2010. Was a ton of fun! I had partial hearing loss for about a month after, but was so worth it. Haha!
