Backed up an old laptop of mine and found a bunch of pics from the various FBO's i worked at over the years. Ill start posting some up:
    DSCF0010 (4).jpg
DC3 freighter that came in one day, 2003ish??
    03102009(001).jpg
Piaggio that went wheeling one day at KMDW, went off the runway in the rain. One of my co workers then got a tug stuck in the mud on live TV while trying to get it out. DSCF0012.jpg
This guy took off out of aspen, heard a loud bang, the engine over sped and locked up. The prop broke off at the crank, puked all its oil onto the wind shield and he dead sticked it back to KASE using the GPS to navigate. Luckiest person ever... I miss working overtime at that airport during the holidays, i did it a few years in a row, i have a ton of other pics from there ill post up.

All the pictures make me really regret going commercial, it sounds like the FBO's are where the real fun is at.

Yeah I work for a major now in tech ops, and while its cool going to the stations and being around the planes, it's kind of boring compared to the non sched GA world. You never really knew what was going to happen when you punched in everyday.

more randomness from back in the day:

Tip tank G-II. This was a rare plane back in the early 2000's, you can probably count on one hand how many are still flying today.

Potato pic of a c-17 at KMDW. Probably the first and last time that will happen, dropped off Dick Cheney's motorcade. I walked out of our FBO which was at the end of the runway with a bag of ice for a customer and saw that beast flareing.

Recovering a beautiful 206 on floats that landed with the gear up. I think he flat out forgot to put it down.

    Ah, that's a good excuse
I saw a G II come in to Dallas twice this summer. It was awesome. I had never seen one in person before, but this one didn't have tip tanks.

The tip tank ones are super rare. When I was working the ramp the g-ii was still fairly common, I loved watching those loud smokey beasts take off. I figured the rvsm and noise requirements have damn near killed them off by now.

We still get MD-88's coming into BWI, they sound like rockets when the land and F-15's on takeoff, and leave a smoke trail big enough to make Volkswagon jealous.

I miss F-111s. They were the BEST at converting jet fuel to noise.
