If you want to get your own airplane for a reasonable price that is easy to maintain...

The Piper Colt is a great aircraft that will hold 36 gallons of fuel and has a useful load of 720 lbs

Save the rental fees. This is just an example... I don't sell aircraft or anything else

I wish I could have had a better picture but that was shot with an old point and shoot through an airplane windshield.

Sorry dude! Don't know how this tag thing works. Are you referring to my profile picture? If you are, it's a rebuilt from the ground up 1968 Citabria 7GCBC. It's putting out somewherein the neighbourhood of 170HP. Great little preformer on floats. Will handle some pretty big waves on those Edo 2000's. Still scoots along at 115mph with the float gear, and with the droop tips and VG's, it'll get in and out of some pretty short lakes, although getting in isn't usually the issue.

The stripes and squared off vertical stab should have been my first clue ... The fins on the horiz stab and the floats had me confused. Awesome airplane !!!

Absolutely. I see Hornets and F-16's a lot, it is nice to see the planes that are no longer out there flying.

It's a great little airplane. Enjoyed every minute I spent in it. It happens to be my aviation doctor who bought it. He's assured me I have first dibs when he decides to sell it, or it's free medicals for the rest of my career.

Couple more shots of it. Front quarter view (sorry about the glare), and taking mom on her first float plane ride.

It's my all time favourite. I grew up hanging around the float base helping load planes for the occasional ride. The Beaver and Twin Otter are what sparked my interest in flying. My dad travelled for work every couple of weeks. I'd see him come and go on these orange, blue and white Otters, that to my young eyes were the coolest machines I'd ever seen. image.jpg

Sure is! My folks have been very supportive, no matter the apprehension they may have felt when their child decided to persue a dream without both feet planted firmly on the ground. It's the ultimate payoff for me to be able to share it with them. image.jpg

That is right up there with the red car in Teterboro. I will have to see if I can find a picture.
