I am. I mainly focus on helicpopter stuff. Ive got some decent time building with airplanes and how to actually do maneuvers and recover from them.

Anybody flown in coach on the Quantas A380? I hear the legroom is better than that of a US Carrier coach class....I think I'm going to take it from Melbourne to LAX on Thanksgiving.

Whatever you do, don't fly the economy seats if you can afford it. On a super long flight like that, the extra cash spent is well worth the saved fatigue from the flight

Don’t have a choice on standby. It’s either going to be economy on a US carrier on a flight with 20 open seats or economy on the 380 with 100 open seats. I decided to do the 380 because I wouldn’t have ended up with an upgrade on any carrier because the flights are too full. Hopefully I’ll at least not have someone next to me. We’ll see

I saw one of the KC-46 test planes the other day at Boeing Field. It took me a minute to realize what I was looking at, initially I was just confused by an Air Force marked plane with no tail markings at all.

    Pirep for the Qantas A380:
Awesome. Economy class is definitely nicer than economy on an American, United or Delta 777 (haven’t been on a 787 yet). The Qantas seats seem wider, are comfortable, seem to have more legroom and definitely recline a lot more. Window seats have more shoulder space than typical because the seat isn’t pressed directly against the wall. It is nice to have more space, but could be annoying if you like to sleep against the wall. The plane itself is impressively quiet even in row 83 where I was seated (there are 87 or 88 rows I believe). Unfortunately, they wouldn’t let the peasants on the lower deck check out the upstairs, so I have no idea what it’s like up there. It was the quietest airliner I’ve ever been on and now I’m excited to try the 787 and 737Max!

Yes, I would recommend to a friend :)

Now if I could get out of LA today.....already been bumped off 2 American flights...

Help! My Bose X headset only plays audio through the left ear in both pilot jacks in my Cardinal, but when I plug the headset into a new 172 rental plane they work fine. All other headsets work fine my Cardinal (Bose A20, Lightspeed, DC, and Telex I’ve used in the past). Any ideas?

Modified the level of gas in the tank
Clearly, you need to upgrade to a better plane

Sounds like either a dirty plug or loose connection. Is there a huge cap on the years of the plane?

Gap? Yes. Cardinal is 1977 and 172 I tried was 2009 I believe.

I would see what the spec difference between the bose x and a20s. That might help narrow it down.

Only obvious difference is the lack of Bluetooth phone and audio in the X. I found a bank of switches under the batteries in the cord so I’m going to play with those next time I’m at the airport and see if it solves my problem.
