Agree to disagree? Fighter jets have their engines on the inside - you have your engines on the outside. Heavies have their engines on the outside. That makes you a heavy. A very small heavy.

You're basically a taxi. In fact, you are a taxi!

I'll be fair. It's a nice, comfortable, fancy taxi, with a meter that has to spin like crazy.

I'm jelly that I don't get to ride in your taxi.

If we are to use your analogy, it is a limo. A sky limo.

I wish I could give rides.

Mine too! It's a beautiful airplane. But no, I don't have any time in it. Yet.
I have about 500 hours in the Citation Sovereign, which is the same basic cabin and cockpit. The X has more sweep in the wings and those huge engines.

The X is the best of what the corporate world has to offer in my opinion. You can go transcontinental, make it to Hawaii or over the Atlantic if the wind cooperates, but its basic missions don't take you too far from home. I like smaller jets because I am home most nights. You jump in a Global or a Gulfstream and you could be on the road for 2-3 weeks straight, or longer. The X has the right amount of speed, distance, and it is still small enough to keep you around home base.

    Awesome thread!

Just a few weeks ago I received a pilot slot through AFROTC! It'll be a while but I'll have my own pics to share some day.

Right right...its speed is what grabs my eye and its massive engines in proportion to the rest of the frame.

I have a few buds flying corporate where I work & we have 2 Global Express in that fleet. It's not too bad for them only because of the travel habits/needs of the user but, they do some LONG legs (like 777 type stuff) occasionally.

Awesome. How many guys in your AFROTC group get pilot slots? This is something I have been going back and forth with about joining for a loooong time.
