I had a flat in a Pitts that required a NOTAM to close the runway until I ran the o the hangar for a dolly and towed it the rest of the way.

    .
    Question here .... ??

I have a close friend (she is like a surrogate daughter) who who lives in the San Francisco area and she is interested in getting a private pilot's license. I have taken her flying before in a biplane and she loved it.

She is Asian and works in the SF area and is a sharp cookie and graduated from GA Tech at 20 and Columbia at 23.

Does anyone here have any suggestions/connections in the Bay Area for some good ground/air instruction ?

    Thanks ...

I can recommend a couple schools around here (the Bay) if you would like to message me. I actually just met with a high-school student to answer his questions, walked around the Livermore airport to introduce him to some instructors and set up an intro flight for him.

Any good flight school recommendations/paths? I'm in Southeast PA and want to kick around my options...

Fixed wing - private for now. I'll prob get the FSDO paperwork going sooner than later. I had started lighter-than-air previously

Sorry about the terrible picture. Some day I will get a real camera.
I saw these guys as I was on the way home. Hurried to get to the house to get the camera...these guys were moving.
Its either a F22 or F15 escort, the larger aircraft looked like a commercial flight. Figured it was some big shot heading somewhere for something...shopping at Macy's?

After I posted I started thinking it could be that flying NORAD...I forget the name...I used to pick up its track it on a flight tracking software. ADS-B style.
    Never had the escort before.

Looking Glass usually doesn’t have a fighter escort inside the US. Odds are it’s a tanker, which is the same airframe. Birds don’t line up behind it because of the turbulence cone, and those birds look like they’re simply waiting for their time at the teat.

A counter air or air superiority configuration would have an escort craft above and ahead, and another below and behind.

God, I can’t believe I remember all that doctrine shit from 20 years ago.

KC-10 (only 2 contrails) with F-22's, likely getting gas enroute to/from AK.

    KC-10 has three engines.

Could this be that elusive NEW tanker going through trials?!? It's only got two engines.

    That'd be cool as shit.

Exactly what I was thinking. Sure would be cool to be able to fly that new KC-46. Airlines and cargo carriers would love you even more

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
We have actually delivered a handful now so the Air Force has 4 at McConnell AFB and at least 2 at Altus AFB. I would imagine they are flying the piss out of them to train guys now. Could be one of the new ones on it's way to Altus.
