Cool! Looks like I need to find some time and a reason to come up there and drool a little.

Well, 576.9 hours later I completely filled my logbook and had to get a new one today. :woot:

The new FBO is really impressive and it seems like it gets better every day. Don't even think about finding parking around lunch time. There are always 10-15 people waiting for a table. The foods OK, but I guess it's the ambiance.

It’s cool but they should fire the designer who made a flag with 14 stripes.

Is that made of paper? My great grandpa gave me a bunch of paper model kits when I was a kid, but it was all cold war US fighters. The F14 even had moveable wings. I kinda wish now that they had survived my childhood, but I had a lot of fun with them. I was also into the Whitewings paper airplane kits. I had this one, but is sure as hell didn't cost what they're asking for it:

I sent a CRJ around in Birmingham in a Cirrus. Don’t know how the new ones are but the mid 00 models were notorious for vapor locking in warm weather which is one of the reasons the fuel pump is supposed to be on for landing. Well it died at some point and of course in flight with a headset on you can’t hear it. Landed and as soon as I was slowed down the engine vapor locked and died. Couldn’t get it restarted w/o the pump.

It is a paper model. One of my favorite sites is Fiddler's Green paper models, and I have a BUNCH of their models from when I was a member. My next planned airplane is this one: http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/models/aircraft/North-American-P82.html

I'm trying to get the facilities director to let me fill one of the empty display cases here at work so I have a place to put them all. I would love to make a display with:
    - USCG C-130H and Dauphin
    - USAAC P-51D (this one) and P-38J
    - USA Bradley Infantry Fighting Vehicle, M1A2 Abrams, and UH-1 Huey Medevac
    - USMC F4U Corsair & box of crayons
    - USN CVN 65 USS Enterprise & A-6 Intruder
    - USAF F4D Phantom II & A-10

Which reminds me, I need to go chat with the facility director...

Whoops! That "plane" was a gift to @ChadsPride's thread so it would show up in the "products discussed." The gift that keeps on giving, you know?

Lemme update that link with this one...http://www.fiddlersgreen.net/models/aircraft/North-American-P82.html
