Only for about 38 minutes. I never left the cockpit. But I thought of you if that helps.

Lol I was in Austin yesterday too. Had fun navigating the storms on the way in and out. I’ll be there later today, but the weather today is much nicer! I’m currently sitting in the plane in Fort Worth running the air conditioning while I wait for my pax

Got to San Antonio and was notified that the rest of my trip was canceled so now I’m back home 6 hours earlier than anticipated. :woot:

This is very sad to hear. Both the pilot losing his life and the loss or the airplane. A few years ago, that plane had an accident, can't really remember what but it almost burnt to the ground. They restored it back to flying condition and now this happens.
Living in the area, I was lucky enough to see this flying several times.

May the pilot David Vopat, 51, of Chino, CA RIP.

Flew out to Giant Rock in Landers, CA yesterday. It was a fun but challenging strip. The original runway is totally unusable now, destroyed by off roaders. Fun nonetheless.

Flew out of VBT Friday. It was a zoo. Planes everywhere. Some making their own traffic pattern.

Graduation, LSU baseball, and SEC track meet all in the same weekend,
