Don’t think we’re gonna make it over there. Don’t want to drive that far

Ended up having to run back out to the airplane this afternoon so we’ve already spent 2 hours in the car

Costs are going to vary based on school and your ability. You’re young, so if you can fly often, you’ll probably be under the average, which is around 60hrs I think. If you don’t have a schedule that will allow lots of flying, expect more hours.

Different planes are different rates, plus whatever the instructor charges. Can vary more than $50/hr, which really adds up.

Hard to put a number on it. I did it in my 40s and couldn’t get a lot of flights in every week, so it cost me more in money and time. Wish I’d done it in my 20s when hand/eye coordination and muscle memory were my friend.

Most solid advice...did mine @30. Total time can be in 50-60 hr range but you need to compress the elapsed time to do so.

The more frequent the hours reduces the past lesson review time which allows for advancing forward quicker.

Looks like a G1 maybe. It's been a while since I've seen one.

Gulfstream 1. They make a MU2 sound like a dust buster on the noise scale. Joe Gibbs racing used to have one and we had to draw straws to fuel it, its overwing and you need a crazy tall ladder, just all around sucked. Still not as a bad as a convair 580, we used to stand ontop of the fuel truck parked under the wing to fuel those if the single point was broken (99% of the time it was because freighter).

Yep, that’s it. This particular one was a 1968 model. I noticed how the cockpit windows and the fuselage windows look exactly like new Gulfstream windows

    87 fuel added as needed.
Anyone happen to know where to get a low-high impedance connector for U-174-->GA adapter? Helped a retired Blackhawk chief by buying his old headset. I see them at David Clark for $140...
