Yeah, a respectful tornado is hard to come by nowadays!

My boss's brother and his family live under one of those blue tarps.

The whole family has a great sense of humor about the whole thing. They want to know who keeps 3,000 blue tarps on standby in case stuff like this happens. Had me rolling with their "blue tarp conspiracy theories." Taking the whole thing with faith and perspective, like all folks should.

All just a ploy. People are always concerned about the government controlling the weather, but they never suspect "Big Tarp"

Haha, I love the phrase “all y’all” because if you expand “y’all,” it is completely redundant yet people say it all the time anyway (including myself)

Jet pilots....Bose A20 or Clarity Aloft?

I guess my Lightspeeds aren’t TSO’d so I’m looking for opinions. My dad has an older version of the Clarity that I’m going to try on my trip tomorrow, but the new model is more adjustable and lighter. The thought of wearing sunglasses without disrupting the seal around the ear cup sounds appealing to me. Then again the thought of spending over $700 for a headset with no Bluetooth or ANR seems a little bonkers. Guess I’ll find out how well the ear plug style works at cutting noise.

I despise earplugs in all instances, esp when flying. Makes it harder to get your ears to pop, which is one of those nitpicky, but really annoying kind of small things. OTE all day.

Seems odd that an aviation headset company would offer a product without some sort of pressure mitigation system, so you might be fine. Never personally used those models, but it just seems like conceptually it might be an issue.

With that lighting, I'd expect those poles to have strippers.

I mean, it IS Dallas, right?
