The lav doughnut on the hawker is the devil!!! I always hated fueling those with how loud that APU screams as well. Still better than the beech jet though!

The Latitude is, overall a good bird. The garmin avionics are awesome but could use a little bit of better usability....being able to delete more than 1 fix at a time and pre-built visual approaches(like the Collins proline 21). Lots of room to stretch out on those long flights...I’ve done 5.5 and a buddy of mine did sfo to Halifax. My real complaint is the ride in turbulence. The wings are like washboards out there and you feel everything.

Sounds nice. I think they look pretty cool on the ramp, although it seems like it needs one or two extra windows in the back

We took a vote, and Texas would allow you and your family to move here. Not something we usually say to other California refugees.
Look like mock-ups, and they don't forget to put anything away. The security there is so tight that you have to process past the red line just to fart.
Your dad flew with my grandfather, who flew C-47s, C-54s, and C-124s as the last remaining Captain with only a GED he got in the Army Air Corps during WWII. At one point he was the acceptance pilot for "Old Shakey." More hours than anyone could count. He flew for all 20 years as USAF (3 years prior was Army Air Corps). Never had a desk job.

    Welcome to TW John!!

it could but, it would then encroach on the new Longitude. Behind the windows approximately 1/2 is the lav and the other 1/2 is the baggage. If you could fit them thru the door, you could put at least 4 caskets in the baggage.

Thanks.... what years was he in the mighty “Old Shakey” and where was he based? Dad went thru the cadet program and was trained to be a Nuclear worker before off to pilot training. Based at CHS from 60-65. He’s 82 now. It’s awesome hearing all his old flying stories from back in the day.
This site is going to be like crack now....I just overnighted in Austin the other night. Would be cool to hook up with some of y’all while on the road, been though I usually only ha e about 11ish hours off.

I’m excited for the Longitude. Does the Latitude have accessible baggage from the cabin or is it external only?

External...non pressurized and not heated. Typically you bulk it out before max weight. I’ve had 7 pax with all their ski stuff and still had some room

Gotcha. I’ve been impressed with the baggage space in the XLS. We can fit so much junk back there and having the rod for hanging bags is awesome

    PM incoming.

Give us a holler the next time you know you're coming to AUS and we'll see what we can do. I have short lunch breaks, but we have a large active group here.

Before I read your caption I recognized the building. I used to go in and out of Mont Tremblant. Interesting place.
