...^^^... PDK ... I used eat lunch at the Downwind at PDK a couple times a month (like their burgers :hungry: ) ... especially in the summer on the outer deck ... will start again when the weather warms up. There is also a good (authentic) Vietnamese restaurant around the corner ... Nam Phuong on Buford highway.

Usually meet my incoming/out going friends at Epps ... and sometimes hang out on the bleachers on nice days and drink coffee.

Managed to get a few more decent pictures before I had to leave the beach. I also learned a little more about that 767 BBJ we saw, owned by a Russian billionaire that was there on his mega-yacht called Eclipse, apparently he owns Chelsea FC as well.

And bonus picture of the seats on our flight from Charlotte back to Seattle. Most legroom I have ever had in one of the tightest seats I have ever sat in.

That's the guy. We never saw the yacht because it was over at St. Barths but the 767 was there until the day we left. I'm sure he made use of the heli pad to get from the boat to the plane too.

...^^^... I like the way the helicopter goes down in the ships's front compartment.

About 20-25 years ago I was with my buddy and we visited one of his friends.

His buddy had a Jet-Ranger in his basement (back of the house) that would slide out the back on tracks ... really cool setup and nice aircraft too.

The guy who owned the house and helicopter was one of the Coca-Cola's heirs.

PS ... I used to go to this place in Miami called ... Jone's Boat Yard ... that had some of the biggest and coolest boats that I have ever seen. We used their facility as a temporary service center on some of our equipment. That also had a giant machine shop that could make about anything.

Nothing too cool today, but this morning flew over Ozark Arkansas on the Arkansas River. I took my first flight in this town a little more than 40 years ago. It was a ride in the back seat of a small Cessna and all I remember is how glad I was to be back on the ground.

You guys were showing pics and talking about --- USMC-USN --- BLT's, MEU's, SLF's and etc.

Cleaning through some boxes and I found a Xerox copy of a photo of me and part of the crew from our BLT after we were medevaced back to Bethesda Naval Hospital.

This was our second time to be banged up, but this time we were medevaced out of RVN and back to the states.

This was a cake cutting ceremony for something and the hospital staff photographer took this pic ... I am the guy in the wooden wheelchair on the left.

I was at Bethesda for a while and got reunited with a lot of the guys and had some great experiences there.

A big Semper Fi to MOH Gregory Boyington who passed away on this date back in 1988. RIP

Just because I have time off work doesn't mean the traveling stops. 2020 is off to a good start and it looks like I'm going to be gone more days than I'll be home this month. I'm taking advantage of it while I'm young and single.

Enjoy it now, once you become a grizzled old fart like me (36 LOL) hearing the words business trip will completely deflate you! I tried desperately to get out of a 4 day business trip to an airport ground equopment convention in munich and failed LOL
