I know things are looking bad for the professionals out there, but any upside? Seems like small private charters would be ideal for those needing to travel.

My opinion and my opinion only...

People who can afford private jet travel already do it. I’ve seen many web articles mentioning huge increases in charter inquiries and quotes, but I haven’t seen anything saying that the charter business is actually ramping up. Personally, I haven’t flown one trip because the passenger was trying to avoid the commercial terminal due to the virus. Most clients I fly already want to avoid the commercial terminal anyway. I also haven’t had any cancelations yet. I was worried my Cabo trip might cancel, but it’s tomorrow and I’ve already been briefed on it so it’s a go at this point. I’ve got a Vegas next week that I wouldn’t be surprised if it cancels.

Saw this in the FBO at EKM today. Kinda cool

Tell you what, I got to ride on the company jet once, and getting to just walk on, no need to stand behind the guy trying to get a full size suitcase through the xray machine was a thing of beauty.

Only issue now is that, much like sitting in first class, I now know what I'm missing every time I board into steerage economy class for work.

Isn’t it wonderful? Really spoils air travel forever though

Air travel isn’t bad, just do it fairly drunk. Go through security sober, drink up at the lounge and maybe a few quick ones on board if it’s a long flight, rack out on the plane and you’re at your destination in no time.

I aint no rookie, trust me. Im the "bring your own airplane bottles cuz its not illegal to bring them through security" level flyer.

Had a job a few years ago where I travelled 42 weeks a year. I am grand master flyer. Ever had a flight attendant remember your name before?

    going to be fun!
It is illegal to consume them on the plane right?

    § 121.575 Alcoholic beverages.
    (a) No person may drink any alcoholic beverage aboard an aircraft unless the certificate holder operating the aircraft has served that beverage to him.

I found this out the hard way!

Well you can't be obvious about it. But yes, it is illegal.

I'll take my chances. I usually brought an extra to bribe my seatmate. They enjoyed the drink and unknowingly became an accomplice.

It definitely gets busier than most would thing. I used to get bumped a fair bit and that led to us becoming familiar with each other

I don't know about you guys, but if I had small a plane..... this would be a great excuse to "socially distance" myself in the sky. And with schedule reductions happening across all of the majors, there will be less planes in the sky!

I rent. They are currently restricting the planes to the local airport only. You can fly as far away as you want, but you gotta come back home to land. Puts a kink in the plans, but at least I’m still getting to fly.

Hell, with all these empty "ghost flights" going around these days, they'd probably pimp a jet to you if you asked nicely
