you and I cannot like the same thing. not possible. the universe might implode or something.

There's an ivory one here, don't see it much but occasionally the owner will bring it out to one of the fly-ins and it gets a lot of attention. I have pictures of it somewhere...

I always liked OV-10s. Used to watch them spot for CDF fire bombers in the summer. Along with Skymasters.

And my buddy's dad flew Spads for the AF in Vietnam, over 300 ground-support combat missions. Things are beasts. Fucking ordnance dumptrucks.

This isn't him, but he has a similar pic.

If any of you are ever in the Denver area with a free afternoon look up the Wings Over the Rockies Museum. Its not a huge place by any means but what they do have is pretty cool. And most of the guides/docents are retired military or airline pilots with lots of cool stories they love to tell. Was there several years ago and really enjoyed it. They even have a Star Wars x wing!

It's a hole in the wall place....or hanger in a subdivision I guess. Nowhere near the airport. Just the hanger/museum is left of an airstrip that was consumed by urban sprawl. Still worth a visit!

It has been years since I went to Wings Over the Rockies. I need to go visit it again. When I travel I try to hit any museums in the area.

My Dad was telling me stories about when he got his license the other day.
His teacher was a retired navy pilot and he didn't make to much fuss about anything, just do a thorough pre flight and go fly, oh and don't take your hand off the throttle during take off.
Every time my dad would take his hand off the throttle on take off he would get slapped on the back of the hand by his teacher.
