Today marks 50 years since the Apollo 13 crew had to report, "Houston we've had a problem here." Still a miracle those guys made it home....

This is a $1 bill I had signed by James Lovell/Jack Swigert and Fred Harise. My grandfather was an Aero Space Engineer for Grummans and on the design team w/Tom Kelly for the Lunar Lander module....

I have a lot of fond memories growing up in Cape Canaveral in the 60's and 70's and being at the Space Center during this great period in History....

I was at Kennedy Space Center and saw Apollo 13 launch - I was 8.

Living in Huntsville at the time, my Dad worked for NASA on the Saturn V.

Needless to say, I am very anxious for the first flight of SLS.

The Apollo 13 Command Module, Odyssey, has been on display for years in the small town I grew up in at the Kansas Cosmosphere and Space Center. Pretty cool piece of history to see

Some of my greatest memories was the ability to either sit in the Family viewing area which was about 3 miles from the launch pads during the Apollo and shuttle missions....

I remember going on KSC tour a few days after STS-126 and saw steam-scorched plant material a considerable distance from 39A.

    I did not know this.

On my next trip west, I will try to stop by and see this. It looks very interesting.

    Thank you.

My flight club is back in the air today! Hopefully next week I get some time in. Haven't been in the air since Feb. Maybe things are starting to get better.

I didn't want to go there but it is still a fun video to watch...especially since I know the areas they fly through. I'd love to be out there and get buzzed by a Mig. I've enjoyed several other types of fly-by's in the region.
