Good point on the drop out rate. I’ll check for lightly used. Thank you!

Today I got bored so I took the Cardinal out for a flight. It was so warm that I decided to climb up to 12,500 just for kicks. I hung out up there for a couple minutes just to see what TAS I could achieve (125 kts @ 9gph), and then steep spiraled my way back down to 5,500. That was fun, but then a pop-up storm had built up over the airport I hangar at so I ducked into McKinney (TKI) and ended up sitting there way longer than I thought I would need to. As soon as a cell would start to open a gap for me to get home, a new one was right on its tail. I eventually found an opening to get back to my hangar and was greeted with this rainbow on the short hop.

This pilot had a bad day a couple weeks ago. Private plane rolled (engines still turning) into a USMC V-22 at Brown Field in San Diego. I'm guessing that dude ain't gonna fly again for a while...

It's amazing how many pilots almost ran me over when I was working the ramp. Both pilots, head down in the cockpit and the plane rolling. Always set the brake!! We had a guy do the same thing in a de ice truck, filling out paper work with the truck in reverse and he slowly let off the brake, backed right into a private 757 that was going to Shanghai the next day with the cast and crew of rush hour 2.

I'm just envisioning the ramp guy getting hit with the back and forth dialogue of Chris Tucker and Jackie Chan in character and it's hilarious.

Hahaha close!! The mechanic was a cowboy looking dude who wanted to fist fight anyone and evreyone at the FBO!

The ramp guy punched out and didnt answer his phone for 2 weeks. I think he eventually went to go work for a CIA shell company doing rendition flights as a loadmaster.

What a business of oddballs and characters.

...^^^... When I graduated from college (we graduated together) ... I was dating a newly hired PanAm Stewardess (<-- proper name back then). She used to show me all the cool things like that. Also, she put me in PanAm's ... IIRC ... "Moon Flights Club' for reservations. She worked for PanAm for a long time. That brings back some fun memories ... :)
