Yep, I’ve seen several 7500s around. They look totally awesome and have large cabin windows

Is that a RJ 100 or 200 converted to bizjet?

Me either. Don’t know if they stretched the 600 series bizjets that much? But I suppose the RJ itself is a stretch of the Challenger jets. I’m more familiar with this Bombardier line of products:

I think it’s essentially an RJ 200 that they call Challenger 850

Flight times are bit shorter with those; Trip (flight) plans still strongly encouraged, and always fly in tandem or group formation.

Absolutely! Although, I can see the cross town trail across the lake about a half kilometer outside my living room window. It's a well marked, frequently travelled route, and a fun way to go into town for coffee, a few groceries, or to visit family.

I see! Had to google that one. I recall a few years back, a company that had plans to repurpose parked early model RJ’s as business jets and cargo planes. The idea never took off. No pun intended.

The water crossing requires considerable confidence, commitment, and correct adjustment of COG. Noise complaints are always a factor when flying in close proximity to residential areas. Anyone asks, tell them its an Arctic Cat, and keep moving.

I won't say that I haven't considered it. I have a couple of travel guitars that I could carry with me when I'd have to hold reserve away from my domicile. There's room in the baggage area, although I'd probably choose to strap it to the back seat.

@Bushed do the floats have air bladders in them?

No air bladder. There's a series of sealed compartments. These floats are PK1800's, and they have six such compartments per float. Part of the preflight is to check each compartment for water by taking a pump and sticking it in each of the pump outs on the top of the floats. No float is completely water right, but these are pretty close. Might get a cup of water total out of them over the course of a week.

I can take a picture of the pump outs tomorrow if you or anyone is interested in seeing them.

No, 4 hours til flying. This will be attempt #3. Started while stationed in Virginia, moved home and tried to start back up after I recovered from my shoulder surgery (took about a year) then the school closed due to covid after taking one lesson last March. Third times a charm? o_O
