I was at the airshows at NAS Pensacola... but I was too young to remember the F-4s. I do remember the A-4s which always made for a good show. The T-38s the Thunderbirds flew was a great show also

I remember seeing the F-4 Thunderbirds in their last year at the Offutt AFB air show as a kid. The next time I saw them they were T-38s and it was NOT EVEN CLOSE. Saw the A-4 Skyhawk Blue Angels as well. They were a lot better than the T-38s too because of their agility.

The F-16s and F-18s crush all former generations of these aerial demonstrators.

I still miss F-4s. They were the second most effective way to convert JP-8 into noise (F-111 being #1).

Phantoms were always my favorite too. I grew up in Hawaii around Kailua/Kaneohe and F-4's were out at the Marine base at the time. So I'd see them flying around the bay on approach, or watch them do high power turns with their ass pointed out over the water, kicking up spray and reverberating off the hills.

Oh yeah, I came across them again around 2000-ish. We were at Nellis for Red Flag, and I think it was the Germans who were still flying F-4's. Think that's the last time I've seen those smoke trails in person.

Edit: Yep, it was 'ze Germans.

We hired a new captain in the Mustang so I am sitting right seat for a couple days to make sure he doesn't kill anyone. I am not a big fan of the mustang to be honest. It's like flying a Barbie jet.
He seems good so far. Heading to Aspen now so I guess we will see....

Absolutely. To normal people, having a jet is cool. But among the owners themselves, there is definitely a hierarchy of who has a bigger metal tube.

T-38s are really only good at one thing....going fast straight and level. Might get lucky and break into the mach in a dive...

    That's awesome!!

If I took a picture like that, it would be my ugly mug with some rich snob behind me eating smoked salmon and making a mess of my plane. I won't bother you with that.

Haha nah take it anyway. I'd love to see the inside of one of those jets.

Don't you guys have a flight attendant to clean up the jet/serve the customers??

Depends on the size. Our smaller jets are, well, small and they don't have room for an attendant. The Sovereign and Phenom 300 will have one when requested. The rest of the time it's up the pilots to tend to passenger requests.

I've photographed our planes for my company so I'll post up some photos later for you to see.
