CG was fine. 737-800/900’s are known to tip if the passengers are deplaned improperly. They should have used a tail-stand so it wouldn’t tip.

This is one of the reasons why you don’t really see rear to front loading on the airlines. It is more of a problem of improper loading/ unloading rather than CG. Frankly it could happen to almost any nose-wheel configured airplane, but some are more prone than others. Such as 207s, PA32s, LearJets, Caravans, some Boeings….

I remember my first time towing a lear 35 with a topped off trunk tank and a blown out nose strut. I hit the throttle on the lektro, the tail slams into the ground, I stop and it ends up off the lektro tray as the nose comes back down and it bounces:eek:. Pilot comes out, helps us gets it off and goes back inside like it's totally normal lol!! I kind of miss dealing with the 135 air freight world!

I've deployed to Volk for an exercise before. I've never seen it without 5 fucking feet of snow, though.

Not enough info but probably transiting between NAS Whidbey Island and either a carrier on the east coast or NAS Key West.

Very interest article, thanks for sharing. Do you mind sharing how you have the opportunity to be working on the P8?

Final fitting happens at Boeing's facility at King County airport and half the Navy's P-8s are stationed at NAS Whidbey, more opportunity in the Seattle area than most places

And Navy CMV-22Bs will never be as pretty as the HMX livery, or as cool as the Marine fleet haze grey. Just gonna be gloss grey and white like a COD

I work for Boeing. Normally on the KC-46 at the Everett site but the P-8 needed some help with a mod they are doing so I'm working that program down at Boeing Field (technically King County airport but everyone around here knows it as Boeing Field) for a few weeks.

I was an NFO with time in P3C, P3B, and CP140. I haven’t had a chance to see the new P8, hope to get that chance.

Having played on both, the P-3 is a lot cooler. @enil01 would likely agree

LOL…cooler until you lose the EDC while flying in a tropical environment. When the cabin air temp climbs above 90 degrees electronics decide the don’t want to play and systems start shutting down. Add a bit of low altitude turbulence plus high cabin temps and the crew starts shutting down (or heaving up) as well.
