at first i though this was a fun photo edit for an unfortunate registration#. Nope, its a real Finnish registration. Data below maybe old, or it really is a photoshop onto a different aircraft.

Boy did I get both spectrums of the travel industry today. I hit so many different modes of transportation.

The day began with a Global 5000 ready and waiting for me at Love Field and we flew to Kansas City downtown airport.

I then took an Uber to the big Kansas City airport to catch an American Airlines flight back to DFW. While waiting, I got to witness a couple dudes get in a fight in the gate area.

After arriving back at DFW I took the train over to Love Field to pick up my truck. However, the train doesn’t go to the terminal so I had to call the FBO to ask for a line guy to drive down the street and pick me up. They ended up sending my company’s private driver in the Mercedes instead of the FBO van.

What a stark difference of travel experiences!

I drove a 20 year old car (I bought it when I was 16) to the airport and flew an 18 year old airplane.

Not as exciting but still fun.

Drove the taco to the airport and flew a bus. Boring but easy.

I remember when it first came on . Still in reruns.

For the era, nothing like a formation of F4Us except maybe some P-51s….

Hate to leave out the P-38s though….

Howdy All, jumping aboard and subbing this thread!
I got my PPL in 2019 and have since flown around 150 hrs, mostly skyhawks and cherokees. Highlight so far was getting my tailwheel ticket down in Pensacola FL in the AL3 Legend Cub - now THAT'S fun! Currently working on my Instrument rating and hoping to get my CPL, CFI, CFII in the next few or more years. From there who knows, I do at times consider it as a potential career change but for now just enjoying the journey!

Tailwheel is addictive. I got my rating in a Super Legend Cub. Was a nice plane for owning, but was too frail for a school/club to rent out. It was always in maintenance.
Moved on to two PA-18s that were rebuilt by Cub Crafter. So much nicer flying than the Legend for rough use. Low and slow is just about all I want to do any more.

Oh yea, it seemed apparent and was an inside joke that Legend sticks together their planes with elmers glue lol. I was told by my current CFI that being able to solo-rent any rag and tube bird is quite rare, so I consider myself lucky to have had that experience. I agree, all I wanna do is fly low and slow now! Would love to own a fabric plane like a j3 one day but would need hangar space first, not an easy find where I live...

I asked why the cockpit was naked, said they had to remove fuselage panels for installing new autopilot.

Nothing too exciting... maybe a little rust
I wish I would've gotten a picture but I drove past this guy getting towed down the freeway yesterday with it's wings in a truck behind it.

I did not need to see this -sorry it's a personal thing. I went "Down" in one of these - The strength of the plane probably is what saved us
