Thanks. Just looks super sloppy, would of thought on a something that expensive there would be a better way to seal it, or atleast it wouldn't of looked like some redneck doing side work out of his trailer park slapped it on there lol

Of course we use sealant and there's a lot of different types depending on application and cure times. Of corse things like weather effect cure time.

So there's provisions for leaving sealant off or taping it so the airplane can fly.

It's always shitty looking (it's sure not rare) that an aircraft goes with no tape on the sealent and the sealent isn't cured. It makes a pretty impressive mess.

It's made to slam hard on short, impromptu runways in hell. Lots of wheels with short struts.

So my truck's starter decided to die today. Lucky for me it was right outside the maintenance hangar! I switched it out in the parking lot :D

Some gauze pads, 3-n-1 oil and ball bearings to prep the Fencer valve ... we need a couple of gallons of antifreeze also

It's all ball bearings these days

Bearings in the tach generator maybe

It was a spurious fault on the #1 VIA...forget the exact fault code. We did follow the FIM with VIA checks, checked for 28VDC at the N1 tach sensor cannon plug (at the fan) and it checked. Did a system RTS and ran the motor at ~40% N1 switching between VIAs and no more fault.

Nice day until the last two hours...I ended up starting a R&R on a fuel/oil heat exchanger on an A300 with GEs. Fuel = leave me alone cologne...as you know.
