The F-16 caught a lot of crap earlier on, and it's turned into one of the greatest military aircraft ever. I think the F-35 gets a bad rap only because of the typical growing pains.

As a bonus, AAMRAMs mean never having to even show your face. FOX-3s for the win!

I always thought that the civilian market missed a great opportunity by not getting into converting surplus Cobras into News helicopters, with pod mount cameras on the winglets, and a high power zoom on the chin turret!

My wife isn't interested so I had to tell someone; just sitting in the backyard next to a fire and I heard radial engines. Look up and that is 100% a B-17, looks like it was Madras Maiden N3701G. That's a pretty special thing to see these days, too bad I didn't get a picture.

That's something I'd tell my wife even if all I get back is a dead stare. I think she gets tired of hearing the interesting planes I saw from the backyard patio while she was at work.

They sold the Cobras mostly to South America. I heard the big wigs would take their girl friends up.

I wonder what version that is.
If it has the Wright engines:puke:Or if it has the P&W Wasp engines?

Everyone in the Pueblo area be careful. My youngest is at Doss Aviation beginning his Air Force career in the venerable Diamond Katana. Supposed to have his first flight sometime this week. He told me ground school last week was like drinking out of a fire hose and he was glad he had already started on his private to have some knowledge.

I’ve seen those guys do some really stupid stuff. My usual course of action is to leave the airfield when they show up.

Mig-29UB. Trainer variant that added a second seat for an IP and took the radar out of the nose, which is why it looks so pointy compared to the frontline models.

They do look sorta similar, but the giveaway on the Sukhoi models is it looks like the cockpit is gonna fall off with how it's "bent".

Also of note: The SU-37 was essentially a testbed SU-27 block20 and they only made one or two of them.
