Look like it is N558RA, not N559RA, in that case, N558RA does not appear to have any accident/incident/event history so previous damage repair wont be a factor
NTSB CAROL site doesnt have the event in their database yet, as of today 1/14/2024, CAROL shows 01/09/2024 as the last date of accident/incidents listed

Aviation Safety Network is a good resource following an aviation accident. Full disclosure, it is a wiki so anyone can add information. Here is what they have for N558RA:

Picked a hell of a time to have our Boeing/FAA supplier routine audit come up for renewal, thank god we do very little 737 stuff and nothing structural. They have been THOROUGH.

Also, anyone tired of the 737 media :crapstorm: storm? Yeah, the 737 Max has its flaws and rightful bad press, but the Secretary of State's C-40B (based on -NG model) had an issue today and there was one line in the whole article about the actual aircraft in question and the entire rest of it was dredging up unrelated 737 issues.

Maybe if Boeing could figure out how to build anything right they wouldn’t get such a bad rap.

    Posted this in the military forum but someone mentioned to try here;

Hello everyone! I know this is sort of a long shot, but I’m looking for Army helicopter pilots (specifically warrant officers) for potential letters of recommendation. I’m currently building my Street to Seat packet and know how important the letters are.

Little bit about myself, I am an Army vet of 5 years, I was a 19D at JBLM and submitted a packet while I was active and was a fully qualified non select. I have most of the packet done, just waiting on my recruiter to schedule my flight physical.

Would love to have some solid letters of recommendations from former/current aviators to make my packet better! Please let me know if you or someone you know may be willing to have a conversation or two and potentially be willing to fill out a letter! Thanks guys

They know HOW to build it. The labor force and QC is so poor, they are where they are.

it is possible its a prank ill tell you why. im a former test pilot for a major business jet manufacturer and we have several facilities and often some of my pilot friends would visit my facility or i visit theirs for projects we work on when cerifying new systems.

so as a prank something when their back is turned and we are helping them load their luggage into a plane they are gonna fly home, while they are distracted and not looking, we would open their bag and slap a almost thawed raw fish into it knowing that when they get home their gonna have a huge surprise and an awful smell to deal with

prank stuff is a possibility... maybe a friend of his slapped a trout in his case when helping him with his bags and he didnt notice them do it it

but then again i wouldnt do it to a friend that was about to board a commercial flight as a paying passenger..... only to guys i knew were piloting a jet themselves and heading back to home station.

but these days no telling what "friends" might do to punk another friend

Heard about something similar in collage......

Had a friend who had a close friend of his that was flying on a smaller turboprop on a short commuter flight decades ago.

He took a dececed frog his brother took from a biology class they were going disect, dipped it iniquid nitrogen and hit it with a hammer......
He then froze those bits and stashed the frozen bits into his buddies bag right before he boarded.
I only heard about it second hand, but seems accurate knowing my buddy and his friend having an on going prank war at the time.

    87 fuel added as needed.
I joined last year, and trying to find time to get involved in the IN wing - but being reserve and commuting, its a challenge. Jealous of Doc and Diamond...and everything they have there!
