It is a great show. I watch it when I can and my wife watches them religiously. She's not a pilot but has a fascination with the human factors side of accident investigation.

I have been watching the Alaska Aircrash Investigations as a friend of mine is on a couple of episodes. That has been an interesting show to watch to see how the investigations take place. So far it does not seem overly dramatized. I tried to watch the Airplane Repo show once and made it through one or two episodes the first season and about 10 min of one show the second season.

Can't say I agree with the F-16 vs F-18 outcome though.

I like watching Airplane Repo. It's completely fake, but I think it's entertaining to watch

They should add one more level to that meme.

Pilot + a charter plane = Just him, alone, no one on his arm, secluded, solo, all by himself because he is always on the road and all of his friends have left him and his wife has moved on to someone that is in the same zip code.

I'm just playing. My wife loves me and I still have friends (I think).

I've actually been home 7 consecutive nights, and it looks like I will home for several more. Been doing some day trips here and there, and today I was just home working on my garage.

Tomorrow I have an annual checkride with the Chief Pilot to see if I am still competent. So I should probably get off TW and study.

Even though I was joking in my other post, a lot of that statement was true. I know plenty of divorced pilots, airline and charter. I think most of us in this thread know that flying isn't that difficult (at least professionally), but it's the schedule that takes a real toll on families and friends. It takes discipline to come home and give your wife/family the attention the need and deserve even though you would rather just chill with a beer because your job was "hard."
