You shouldn't have any fitment issues being a prerunner. HOWEVER, it looks like they have two models of each: one for 2005-2011, and another for 2012-2015 due to the facelift of those trucks. So I'm guessing the front bumper guard won't fit your 2006. See their website for more details.

It bolts to the frame. It’s rigid, and I think it offers some protection. Better coverage on the rear bumper.
