    Help!

Ever since the beginning of the week my Eclipse AVN726E will at intermittent times, just stop producing sound. The unit keeps working: the iPod/CD timer keeps ticking, NAV works, etc but there is no sound. After some period of time (2 seconds to 4 or 5 minutes) it comes back on. If I shut the truck off while the sound is out, it is out when I turn it back on.

I recently installed a new set of speakers (Image Dynamics CTX65, and CTX65CS up front), but I've installed speakers in every car I've owned. I'll admit I haven't always been perfect, but if there ever was a wiring problem it only effected one speaker, not all 4 at once.

Up until this morning, it would only happen on my way home from work so I wrote it off as the unit was just getting too hot sitting in a hot car all day, but this morning on my way in I didn't have sound the entire way.

I otherwise love this headunit :( anyone have any ideas what could be going on?

Turns out I had a bit of exposed wire that was grounding out. The internal amp in the eclipse shuts off if it senses no load, which is good.

Glad to see it worked out. Make sure those wires are taped up well.
