Ordered some backordered shocks mid September of 2020 and was told that they would be delivered the end of October 2020.

    That never happened.
Mid November 2020 I tried contacting them and could not reach anyone using any of the methods they have available.
At this point I have tried to contact them literally more than 100 times at all times of the day using every method they offer and still have not been able to talk to anyone nor have I received any replies of any sort.

Started looking into it and apparently this is happening to a lot of people.
They have received many complaints at the Better Business Bureau (Myself included)
Fortunately they did not charge my card for the order yet and I have made sure that they never will.
Many others were not so lucky.

Don't know if it has been mentioned on here yet but I plan to spread the word on several other forums.

Well, you said it yourself that they were back-ordered.

Calling hundreds of times is quite excessive considering you were never charged.

Hell, an extra month even is way premature.

    Don't really understand your frustration?

I just got email confirmation of some links that got mailed today; I placed the order July 30th of 2020 and was charged when I placed the order:popcorn:

Only inquired a total of 3 times and yes it was frustrating to wait, but it wasn't the end of the world.

Apparently they have been around since 1988. I think you're overreacting. Makes me want to buy from them out of spite.

I was fine with ordering them because I was told that they would be shipped the end of October not January or beyond.
I'm frustrated because I have no idea what is going on and can contact no one that can give me any kind of answer.
Don't know what is so hard to understand about that.
I suppose the thing to do would be to sit here twiddling my fuggin thumbs until they decide they want to ship my stuff.

That is not ok in my book and it's not good business practice.
Since looking into it, it seems they are garnering a reputation for repeatedly doing this to both people that have paid and people who have not.

You can go ahead and keep ordering from them and waiting 6 months but I'm sure as hell not going to.

You weren't charged, so it doesn't matter.

    Just order from someone else.

COVID has been a huge reason for a lot of things delaying. Keep in mind states and counties handle the issue differently which could affect vendors in ways we didn't think possible.

It's the main reason why I just sat and waited, yes without that money in my bank account, cause I can understand that things happen that are completely out of a vendor's control.

It does matter if I order from somewhere else then, later, get charged by shockwarehouse and maybe or maybe not receive another set of shocks and can't get ahold of anyone there to return them and/or get a refund.

Mind you, I am not trying to back up Shockwarehouse specifically.

Just bringing to light the situation we as a whole have been in.

A lot of people remain ignorant to the situation until it affects them, and when it does, it seems like the whole sky is falling.

I don't know where Shockwarehouse is located, but I am sure they are having issues with shipments both incoming/outgoing.

I bet staff has been affected; hell who knows if they had to cut some of their staff?

What about the manufacturer's providing said shocks?

What about the delays they have to face themselves?

You have your card issuer to fall back on.

If you're that worried about it, put an alert to remind you via text/email when you've been charged over a specific dollar amount.

Even better, call your card issuer to issue a new card to prevent a false charge, etc.

These are simple solutions that should be known already.

How many thousands of Dollars do these shocks Cost they must be special.

I have well over $100,000.00 out waiting on parts far longer then normal to get machines up and running most in defense contractor plants all from CV-19 impacts

I am not sure are Shocks considered Essential parts maybe the manufacture has not run this part # for months.

    Shit.

It's affected the business I'm in tenfold; all one can do is improvise, adapt, and overcome.

Could be worse; OP could've tried looking for an ARB air locker for a 7.5 reverse rotation 27 spline diff. They are sold out everywhere and ARB has had delays shipping anything for months now since COVID. It was one of the reasons for going Harrop.

Covid aside this is not a new thing for Shockwarehouse.
I have found people that have had virtually the same issue and as I have and worse dating as far back as 2016
There is even another thread on here from 2018
    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...problem-contacting-them.556717/#post-21084430

Them charging my card is a non-issue now as I have already talked to the card company so yes I guess I will be ordering from someone else and I suppose that part is not an issue.

You can blame Covid for production and shipping delays

I'm going thru a similar situation with a Flexalite dual electric fan set up for my Camaro I ordered thru Summit racing back in October last year . At least Summit is contacting me with updates

Seems contact for them is the main issue as someone did receive some shocks from them, but had one fail.

I will say I've been to their site and loved seeing the detailed specifications on a ton of different shocks.

Funny part of this is that the shocks are actually manufactured in a facility that is only about an hour from my house.

The other thing is I was ok with waiting a little bit longer than I was told but now I am moving to another state halfway across the country and don't want the order going thorough and shipping to my old house.
Honestly this is why I was trying to contact them to sort out when they might ship and yes I got frustrated after about the 50th try so you can imagine my mentality now.

    F that place.

    This and that...
Ordered a new mountain bike in November = Shipping in March
Ordered a upper for a rifle in June = Just received it
Ordered wood stove parts in November = May ship in February

If it has multiple parts, possibly from other companies, expect a long waits these days if already backordered. From low stock of raw materials to depending on other companies with their own back orders, products are taking a long time. Especially if it's in high demand. Shipping is also increasing. The bike I ordered from Commencal may possibly increase in price due to a lot of these factors. Have to be understanding of the times and business hopefully will use best practices.

I understand that covid has slowed things down.
My wife waited for almost 4 months for her new mountain bike
I waited about 5 months for some new headlights for my VW vanagon
The thing is we were told that it might take that long so we were ok with that.

My links, specifically 3rd Gen 4 Runner rear lower links, had a wait time of 4-8 weeks.

That's the order I was referring to when I said I got an email today that they shipped finally
