I'm looking to purchase a set of 4 side window deflectors for my '22 Tacoma. Not real concerned with cracking the windows while driving in the rain. I want them to be able to leave the windows down an inch or so when it is hot outside and not worry about a passing shower getting water on my interior.
    AVS is $60
    Weathertech is $110.
    Real user opinions on each?
    Thanks.

I've had my inchannel AVS ones for over 4 years with no issues. I like in channel because they look sleeker than the stick on ones

Living in the south, I've never had a truck that didn't have the window vent shades. Trust me, go with the in-channel ones.

Are you down at Ft. Benning?

AVS in channel. I have had them on three different trucks. Never had a problem.

I have the WeatherTech ventshades, and have been very satisfied with them, but had I known about the AVS option, when I bought them, I probably would have opted for the AVS, for the price, and I can't say that I see much difference between the brands (for this product).

I had stick ons similar (if they weren't Weathertechs) on my old Colorado and have the AVS in channels on my Tacoma (12 yrs now).

In channel is the way. Zero issues, I installed em and they're still there and doing their job. Not bad especially for New England winters and the truck lives outside.

One difference is that I believe Avs uses double sided tape to hold it in the channel? Owners would have to confirm this as I have weathertech. They are friction fit up front and use clips that some people find difficult to install on the rear windows (if you have a 4 door). Kind of a bear to get in, but once they are installed they aren’t going anywhere

I have the weather tech in channel on the front with no issues. The back had to use metal clips to hold them in place. They scratched window so I didn't use the. Save your money and get the fronts only

I had/have the Weathertech in channel ones.

I say had because my rear seat dog, whom I miss terribly, was a terror to certain automotive accessories. His cinderblock melon would knock the rear ventshades out while driving and I wouldn't realize it. Of course, they didn't sell single replacements. He ended up knocking the other side out, and I bought a replacement set.

And then he knocked that set out, which I of course, didn't notice.

I have to say that I don't think the Weathertech system to secure the rear vents isn't really up to par. There are some metal clips and its just pressure fit. The front ones are bulletproof- I think in part due to the shape.

I did have the AVS ones in my Jeep, and he didn't succeed in knocking those out.

I realize that my input is oddly specific, but a lot of us here have big dogs and I can't be the only one with this issue.

had the AVS in channel ones on my 2nd gen, worked great but the white AVS logo faded and looked bad after a year or two.

Currently on the 3rd gen running the cheapest no name in channel ones from ebay. No problems. all 4 have the 3m tape to hold them in channel.

I've had AVS and Weathertech on several vehicles.
AVS in channel are the best to me.
Remove the "AVS" logo with a little methyl hydrate or wood alcohol like finger nail polish remover.
I refuse to advertise for them and it looks a lot cleaner when removed.

I ordered the AVS from RealTruck.
I’ll post up a pic and review when they arrive next week.

Solved that before it could be a problem. Haha!

Too many to fit here now!
The AVS I put on my 2nd used the double sided tape. I've only had the drivers side come loose ONCE in 19 years. Stuck some new tape on it and it's still going strong.
