Lights gitter a bit. I think it's the cap for the ds2 bulbs.

^Thanks man! Now that I know how these DS2's fit this would be a pretty easy job.

This is my second one I've done for myself. My first one took less than a few hours if you don't include time for painting. This one was around 20+ because nothing fits right.

Oh wow, yeah i did see some of your posts about having to cut some things... Why did you change? Better light output?

I had the mini DS2 1.0's and the chrome inside one projector fell out, hit the bulb and burned everything up. No real damage other than the bulb was trashed. So I bought all new ones.

The new 3.0's DS2's require cutting. It's not hard, but I must of spent 10 hours trying to find away to make them fit without cutting since TRS kept telling me they require not modification to the housing. Which is untrue.

I do have to say the light output is really damn good on these projectors!

Between version 1 and 3 the difference is 'day and night'.

Did you have to cut/trim to get your DS2 3.0's installed?

I did, but is wasn't serious. For me to get the lock nut to turn i had to dremel out some of the plastic on the back of the headlight. TRS sent me the hexagon lock nut. I saw on the website the have a circular lock nut which would have worked better in my case because i dont think i would have had to cut anything. But its alright, pretty happy overall.

I got both lock nuts, the hex I had to cut the plastics down. The round one was too thick and wouldn't allow the DS2 bulb cap to get enough threads to hold in place.

Ah, i see. I thought either lock nut would come with problems... Like i said, i only had minimal trimming so i wasn't to upset. But i see on your pics, looks like you had to do quite a bit of trimming.
