Oh, then your CV angle is not going to be good.
What's your CV angle look like if it's jacked up, with the tire(s) off the ground ?

I'm basically one of those folk that you label as being the 90 percenter's.
Just because 90% of the people are doing something similar...
doesn't mean they know what they are doing.

It will settle some... but not overnite and not without flexing the suspension out a bit.
Street use does not flex out the suspension much, so it will take a little longer on road.

But an alignment now (after the initial install)...
means you won't fubar your tires while you're waiting for the suspension to settle.
Once they do settle some... you'll need another alignment then.

Those boots are under more pressure then you might believe. And yes they can be restrictive to turning the tire by hand.
If the CV is to blame... you will likely feel a notchiness - cogging as you attempt to turn the wheel/tire.
That would plausibly signify that the CV is the cause of binding.
So is that what you feel ?

Did Wheeler's discuss which motor you have ?
Because the weight of the 3.4L is not the same as the 2.7L
and those differences would determine the initial settings of the CO's

I use Icon CO's not the ones you have...
so I not really sure what you mean by middle notch or enhancers.
    Care to elaborate ?

Was just giving you a hard time. (teasing) guess I forgot to add the smiley emoji (oops)

You seemingly tend to rely upon others opinions rather then knowing for yourself.
Wheeler's sells to make profit first and foremost.
Tho' they likely sold you the right components...
It is likely they omitted some of the variables that are important for set up.

Tho' I've purchased from Wheelers before...
they didn't always give me the right information...
unless I got into more detail with them.
And even then... they did not offer me sound advice.

Wheelers is purdy good at giving the proper advice
but not always are all the needed questions asked/answered.

I'm more of a hands on experience person...
And learned what I know... by doing that.
I only follow others whom share their opinions and real world experiences
based on what they have actually done.
Not what they think they know.

    Bottom line...
Your CO's pre load is set to high and those need to be dialed back down some.
How much ? I cannot say for sure, as that will depend on many variables
    such as your engine type/weight.

I meant to address probably 6 hours ago
but left home and forgot to hit "save" then
so hit that when I returned home. oops

5100s should only be set on top setting with factory coil. Put them on bottom with 881s and "enhancer" to get 2.75-3".

Lowered the 881 to the bottom setting. It lowered the front 3/4". Better but still a little binding. Went wheeling and seemed ok but always thinking it would break at any moment. Maybe the alignment will help the rest, but unsure. Another note is when I go over hills on the highway at speed and front end almost maxes out I can definitely feel the bind!

Are you sure the "binding" is coming from the front, if it were binding at those speeds you think the tires would chirp

Theres definitely Something wrong here to be able to feel while driving.

What i can tell you is that i have 5100s and even a 3/8" strut spacer and at full droop the tires will still spin freely with a single finger.

Im curious as to what the outcome is...

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
~2.5~3" lift on factory uppers? Are the 1st genners like us 2nd gen fellas?

Yes definitely coming from the front. It's not binding to the point of keeping the tire from spinning anymore but it's still enough to feel the Vibes come through when at full droop. When I have it jacked up in the air and I spin the wheel it will bind to a point where it lifts the entire suspension on that side up just a slight bit

Some stuff. Not a lot, just some.
I'm not sure that an alignment will help but you need to get it check for the sake of the tires now that you've change the geometry again.

Can you feel where the bind is occurring? Is there play in the halfshaft at full droop? How are the wheel bearings? Ball joints? What about the front drive shaft? How are the u joints on that? The drive shaft will still spin due to the spider gears when moving. Try disconnecting the front shaft from the diff and spinning the tires at droop.

I'm wondering if the cv joints were damaged with the excess lift also.

cv angle is too steep. You need to get the part that drops the rack down to level the CV joints.

I too believe that there us a damaged cv joint, ive seen it where at full droop while being turned it would clunk and you could see the axle shaft move up.
