Regardless, name calling probably isn't necessary.

It appears that the moderators did a little clean up to keep the thread from going off the rails.

You got that right, seems like every year Tacomas get built cheaper, with even more problems,I own both generation 2 and 3,my favorite is the 15 which has never let me down,my 17 Pro lets not talk about how many times its been in the shop for stupid shit, Toyota quality is going too crap.If I ever buy another Toyota,it will be a Japanese built and put together 4runner.

called them today, turns out they didn’t do much investigation yet.. when the dealer talked to corporate, corporate wants to send a corporate mechanic/engineer to come look at it and take it apart etc.. said he prob won’t even be there for a couple days

Could be worse. Sounds like they are taking it seriously.

12k miles, 1.5 years of ownership. I love my 3rd gen taco. But I admit there are real issues with it. There are dosens of credible issues folks have brought to light. I have these issues below, some are TSB's.

    1. Rear diff leaking
    2. Coolant leaking, hitting my fan, coolant is all over my engine bay.
    3. Very annoying wind noise at my driver door.
    4. Idle surge when turning the wheel, noticeable when backing out of a tight spot, truck will lunge due to idle flaring up.
    5. Power steering reservoir seeping.
    6. I have been driving this beast for a year and a half and I still can't figure out how to drive it. Shifting horrendous, throttle response horrendous. OV tune is my next step.

I’ll bet that for every one like yours, there are thousands without these issues.

What does any of that have to do with the axle falling out...
