Yes. As Holyfield mentioned above, I went thru the exact same thing.
Someone noticed that my rear drivers tire had just the slightest wobble in it. At first I thought it had to be an out of round tire, bent rim or a whole slew of wheel weights fell of.
My truck is not used for wheeling other than some fire trails and I have owned it since new. (2002)
I could not figure out for the life of me what in the hell was going on. Took the truck home, put it up on jackstands. Started it and noticed the wobble. After swapping both rear tires, there was still a very slight wobble.

Took it to the shop and ordered a new axle, problem solved. I am going to assume....and always have, that someone must have backed into my tire and bent the flange.
I have since went to 4340 chromoly axles.

that axle is bent at the flange. right at the base. i don't know where you got the second axle, but it is bent. either that or your original was put back on. and i say thats a posibility because that flange does not look even relatively new.

also. don't swap the axles. the blacking plates are reversed. the brakes wont function properly. if you do swap them. just bolt them on and dont connect anything else at all whatsoever. the bearing needs to be removed in order to get the backing plates free.

I think I have this problem now. Matic can you help me out with what to order or any way to fix my issue? I'm going to take things apart today and check all other options first.

Well. Not sure what help i can give. I went to chromo axles and bearings from a "79-85" toyota. I would suggest lifting the rear of the vehicle, pulling the tire and trying to get a runout gauge on the flange.
