Are you aware you'll have to change wheels as well? And the 8.4 -8" diff thing. I wish that was a sticky. They ALL use the 8" ring setup, there is no 8.4" ring gear.

So is there a link to some of these threads because I've searched and can't seem to find them either.

I am looking at swapping a 2013 rear end w/ e-locker into my 2015 sport. Is a new ECU required or anything like that? Or is it just the wiring harness/button and I'm good to go? Is it easy enough to remove the harness from the donor vehicle or is it all bundled together with other wiring?

I don't do hardcore offroading so is it really going to be a weak link or a worth while investment?

I would just send 12V through a fuse and/or relay from the battery and skip going through the 4WD controller. You'd have the option of using the locker whenever you want to instead of just 4LO. You could always end up on an easy trail that turns out to be hard due to mud. I would say that it's worth it, but I would also say that the ARB is a better choice.

Yea I understand the air locker is the real way to go but.... I can't spend that kind of money. The guy selling the rear end is only asking for what I think I can sell my existing rear end for. So it's not much of an investment except time and gas.
