Recently, I've heard that a set of leveling/lift kit spacers/rear blocks can cause axle wrap. I'd really like to keep the 2" Full Lift setup I want to install on my '04 Pre-Runner without thinking it was a waste of money. What concerns should I be aware of and how reliable will this kit be (ride-wise)? Kit is manufactured by Supreme Suspensions.

Also, the kit comes with a brake valve relocation bracket. What brake valve is that referring to and do I need to relocate it at all if lifting the truck ONLY 2 inches?

Get under your truck and look above your rear axle, you'll see a rod attached to it that changes brake valving dependent on axle load. It should be adjusted dependent on how the rear suspension condition is.

Axle wrap is a big issue on hard acceleration and offroading. 2" block isn't ideal but won't cause dangerous amounts of wrap unless the spring is pooched.

Take a pic of the rear springs, if they are flat and there's a 2" block bolted on them, it's probably time to upgrade.

Thank you. They’re not flat, thank goodness. Probably a 15 degree bend from ends to center. They don’t have the 2” block there either.
By the way, would I also have to replace the front lower ball joints? I’ve heard they are the weak point when lifting a first gen.
My main reason for lifting it is to eliminate front tire rub against the wheel well. Currently riding on 265/70/R16 3rd-gen TRD OR rims.

Update: Just found out about Spacers destroying the shocks. Is it possible to get extended bump stops (whether or not for both axles) so all of the shocks don’t get destroyed?
