I've got a 2010 DCSB Sport which I am thinking has quite soft suspension in the rear. I was looking into the Axle Wrap Mod and if anyone has done it, does it stiffen or raise the rear at all?

What makes you think that you are experiencing axle wrap? What do you mean by soft suspension? Could be worn leaf springs or shocks.

I get the thump when taking off. I mostly notice it when switching directions. I've had other Tacomas in which I installed a Toytec lift. This truck is not lifted. So I don't have the added strength to the rear suspension yet. I am eventually going to lift this one, but in the meantime, $30 isn't much to eliminate the minor thump.

The only thing the mod does is prevent movement of the leaf pack and won't affect the lift or ride quality of your current setup. I would check your U-bolts torque prior to investing in the mod. Torque should be 73 ft/lbs.
