I don’t think you’ll get much charge out of the Renogy overnight. You should probably look into other options.

Didn't you tell me that it wasn't worth the time to setup solar to maintain charge on the battery? Or am I just not that cool?

I’m just looking for a simple 100w setup. Truck doesn’t stay in one spot to long when out camping. New to the solar idea so have to shop around. I currently have a jackery but it was purchased before fridge so would need a higher model now.
mmm.. don’t recall that. I’m actually looking at something to install on the prinsu to not have to setup, otherwise I’ll jump over to a external power source.

By all means, shout if you have questions. I hooked it into my dual batteries, but I also use the same setup (I just move the controller and panel over) with my 3rd gen 4Runner on a single battery.

    Really great system.

Spent a little time this afternoon getting the power ran for the Dometic, decided to mount it in the cubby and with power being exposed inside the wheel well I filed down the optional mount and made it fit and went ahead and through some silicone to help protect from water etc., hopefully tomorrow I’ll be able to get the slide mounted and test fit the fridge.

Today I was able to get the DFG fridge slide mounted, since it was getting bolted down to the bed I used some rubber washers under fender washers to help with the vibration etc. instead of using nuts since I plan to remove when not being used I decided to go with some wing nuts for easy removal. Test fitted the fridge and am pretty happy with the results. Will be testing this setup out in a few weeks

Another fun trip this weekend, first started the trip off not having to much planned. First headed out to Joshua tree Thursday afternoon to hopefully find a first come first serve campsite. No luck with that, all campsites were full. So spent some time checking everything out and seeing what may gain interest for future trips. After seeing a bit we headed out to Gold Park Road which is some BLM land right outside of JT. Ended up cruising around and checking out some mines before having dinner and setting up camp
    270D997A-F27D-456D-AD39-59F93E6759C6.jpg

Friday morning we woke up and had breakfast, shortly after started getting some winds so loaded up to see what was the next plan. We ended up saying Ef it, cruised across Mojave and ended up going out to Death Valley. On are way in we picked up lunch versus stopping to make something just to save some time. Ended up camping out at stovepipe Wells for Friday night. Many beers and much food was consumed! E0F72CC8-F6B1-47C6-B48A-BFD97CB4D43E.jpg

Saturday morning we got up, had breakfast, headed into town to fuel up and then headed out to Titus Canyon. Weather was nice, had a few clouds pass over us but that was it, so knew we could take our time and make the best of it.

After Titus Canyon we went out and checked out the Baker Ranch. Ended up running into some older Jeep guys who were able to share some info on what Charles Mansons place use to look like. Last time they had checked it out was prior to it getting burned down

After leaving the Ranch, We had lost light and were driving at night to find our camp site for Saturday night. Ended up Camping off Warm spring Canyon near a mine. Had dinner and a few beers but the driving had caught up with us so we called it a night early. Woke up this morning and before packing up decided to take a walk into a mine. Pretty cool checking them out and just thinking how it was all operated.

Overall was a fun trip that was not really planned out to much. I’ve been wanting to get out since the last trip in November so this was nice. We were able to use the fridge which worked out great and possibly the last trip before some changes being made to the truck. Next trip to hopefully be planned for first week of April. Possibly sooner :fingerscrossed:
