    Few changes to the truck…

First I sold my Bedslide, I loved it. Made getting things in and out of the bed super easy. But at the same time I lost a little space and added some weight to the bed. Also Added a Wilco spare tire mount to the bed, I know attaching to the bed rail is not the best option but also may add straps to help secure. For now it works. Lastly I removed my 285/75/17’s and through on some 315/70/17’s. Feel the tires look better on a long bed, at first was nervous about it but after this weekends trip I’m pretty satisfied with them. Went with Toyo Open country RT trails.

Also,Turned this weekend into a 4 day weekend and headed out with a group to Sedona. With it being a holiday weekend yes it was a little busy but it was doable. Had some fun!

While changing diff fluids today on the truck I went ahead and swapped out the drain/fill plugs for OEM Lexus plugs. Hopefully will get to transfer case this week to be good on those for a while.

Big thanks to @Speed Freek this past week. Jason removed some lower shock mounts and welded on some new ones. Reason being is I was not getting full use of the rear shocks.

Glad I was able to help bud! Got it pretty dialed now. Will allow for more articulation so you can take full advantage of that setup. Was good seeing you again Aaron!

Thanks Mike, Hope you and the wife are doing well!

Sold the RTT and rack to clear up some garage space and possibly make way for a new setup.

So now that the bottom shock mount issue was resolved I wanted to complete the rear setup. Picked up some Archive 3.6” shackles from @Supra4x4

Finally found some time to get the truck out. Headed out this morning with @Slidoomz last minute to Big Bear for just a day run. Weather was great, ended up doing little John Bull to John Bull. Also met a jeeper who was out there alone. Ended up wheeling together and had some beers. Overall a successful much needed day out.

Had a good time. Few frustrating moments, had to winch myself on the second obstacle, but overall the truck did well. Made it through and made it home. So overall was a good day. Definitely a challenge though.

Another fun weekend trip out to big bear. This trip was more of a calm, relaxing trip. Left Friday evening and was raining on the way up. When we actually got to big bear it stopped. Just a little cloudy. Ended up catching a little rain the first night for about 30min but that was it. Overall great weather and a peaceful weekend out.

Replacement RTT showed up today. Freespirit Aspen Lite. Now just waiting for the bed bars to mount it. Tent is about 7.5” thick when closed and weights around 100lbs. Not bad compared to my old tent. Not to mention, mattress is memory foam/air so pretty damn comfy.

New bed bars showed up for over the softtopper. I was surprised on how light they were, felt lighter then my old aluminum RCI bed rack. But also that was a rack and these are bed bars.

I wanted to keep the softtopper on. Really liking it and how it keeps everything enclosed. Depending on the trip, Ill have the option of a lighter rtt for quick pick up and go, but also be able to set up camp and secure a spot with my gazelle. So different setups for different occasions.

Received a few Christmas presents for the truck so right away went to installing them before an upcoming trip next month.

first, with me cutting my fenders for 315’s it required me to remove my inner fenders. Tried to save them but that lasted one trip before ripping them off. Filter was getting pretty bad and didn’t want to install a snorkel. So chose to spend the money and not deal with it. Went with the C4 inner fender replacements.
    IMG_9503.jpg

C4 also just released a new bumper, with a new crossmember delete option which I purchased as well. This option will increase approach angle. The crossmember delete option comes with a new power steering cooler, crossmember replacement and skid plate. Luckily I was able to make the c4 skid plate work with my RCI skids. Just a little bit of cutting on the RCI skids.
    IMG_9537.jpg IMG_9538.jpg

As for the replacement C4 Rock Runner front bumper, still test fitting and waiting for new lights and mounts to arrive. Put the bumper on to check for clearance, installed the winch and relocated the control module to behind the grille. Should be finished with the install sometime next week. Really like the look, slim and tucked up to the truck.

I didn't realize that the new C4 crossmember was bolt in. Pretty slick!

Your old bumper looked good but that new C4 is

Picked up a Baja Design 30” ONX6+ and also mounted some squadron sports behind the grille. Bumper is on, now just waiting on some S1’s I ordered. Overall very happy with the finish product.
