    It all depends on how much money you wanna spend. I will recomend at least something like a Cobra 29 LX or if you have around $450 you can get a Stryker SR497 with 130watts like me:

    This. HAM is 100x more functional than a CB and the test can be passed by anyone with a little bit of studying. Clearer transmissions, more frequencies, easier to tune, better range and very similar in overall cost if you get the right radio.
