Picking my good friend from CA up from PHX airport Thursday evening with my woman. You guys have any recommendations for a place to get some good food and drinks? Prefer a spot with a good happy hour and what not, maybe semi close I10 to make it easier getting there.

I would say 4 Peaks in Tempe for great food and beer man! Not too far off access to the 10 and you will not be dissapointed. .. parking kinda sucks though depending on when you plan to be there

Autozone actually makes you take a test to work there.

Granted anyone who's ever changed their oil once, knows what an AC compressor is, and can point out the difference between the engine and the transmission could pass the test.

    But there is a test.

This, I ALWAYS take the old part with me and match them, too many wrong parts before. Before you can be old and wise you must first be young and stupid :p

My wife and I both worked for Autozone for years, and I can't tell you how many times I'd get a part open it up and it was wrong. Loads of time the parts are universal for many different makes and models and sometimes, they are just wrong right out of the box. Always bring in your old part to exam it.

And you think this is bad Nick, try plumbing at home. You'll make about 7 trips to home depot just to replace 1 foot of fucking PVC that was leaking.

Yes, its not always their fault. I've noticed in their computer I have to tell them I have the 4x4 V6 or they will get me 5 lug parts

Yeah, I bet thats quite the hassle Colby. I hope you get things up and running soon. I just ordered the correct part on the internet and did notice I got ordered x-runner tie rods from o'reilleys. I am actually scared to drive every time I drive, because it is making noises like no other. Hoping my parts get here ASAP

I completely took the passenger side one out and it had a lot of play in it. I put it back in. Only problem Is I have to clamp the shit out of it when I tighten it, because the whole entire things spins when I tighten it. Anyway to stop that from happening?

um, some tie rods have ends that are 8 or 10 mm.. U can hold that and tightening the big nut...you check black in tie rods with it all together... Maybe I should look at it before you just throw parts at it.

side note -a chopped green charger from west coast customs is here... I gotta say I'm not very impressed.
